Local Roots, Global Reach
Come join the Southeast region on April 20-22, 2012 at Kanuga Conferences in Hendersonville, North Carolina for the annual Association for Experiential Education Southeast Regional Conference! Get ready to delve into your local roots to understand how to spread your resources for a global reach. The conference will offer a variety of workshops and networking opportunities in the environmental and adventure education fields, an inspiring keynote speaker, an enthusiastic playnote, exhibit hall, silent auction and many of other resources that will stimulate your creativity for how you can use your local roots to reach out to the world around you. And of course, your weekend will not go by without nights full of engaging entertainment. We hope to see you there! YAEESE!
Workshop Proposals
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the upcoming 2012 AEE Southeast Regional Conference in Hendersonville, NC. We are looking forward to the conference and the wide range of topics that our presenters will be bringing to the table.
At the bottom of this page you will find a link to our Workshop Proposal Application. All prospective presenters must fill out this form in order for their proposal to be considered.
Please note that deadline for submission is February 20th. After submitting this form we will review your application and you can expect notification about the status of your proposal by March 1st. Please note that this deadline has been set in an attempt to create a more efficient evaluation process and to allow us to have presenters' names and topics on the registration brochure as early as possible.
Our selection criteria will value achieving a balance of workshop themes and target populations. We desire workshops for beginners, as well as seasoned practitioners, workshops that challenge mainstream convention and those that creatively define traditional practices.
Once your application is received we will contact you for further follow up on any other changes not reflected on the Workshop Proposal Application.
One presenter per workshop will be offered a reduced "Presenter's Registration Fee." Additional presenters are required to register at the standard conference rates. We ask applicants to observe the following guidelines:
- Submit no more than two proposals
- Note: LCD Projectors, screens and flipcharts will be provided. Presenters must make arrangements for other needs.
- Depending on weather outdoor space for workshops may be available. If you are interested in this please be sure to let us know.
- Workshops will be scheduled for 90 minutes.

About AEE

- Please disregard Workshop Type and Length on the Workshop Proposal Application as all workshops will be scheduled for 90 minutes. If you need more or less time please let us know. We may ask you to do your workshop as part of one of the “Thematic Strands”, in this case the length of time you will have may vary from 90 minutes.
